Houston Horde To Sail At Alternate Location

Since road construction still has Buffalo Run Park closed, the "Houston Horde" will be sailing tomorrow at our alternate home, Independence Park.

Independence park is only a couple of miles away from Buffalo Run and has a very nice boat ramp and pier. A lot of the lake is very shallow so keep to the East and South East sides.
As you are planning your route to our alternate site (Independence Park) tomorrow, keep in mind that Alt 90, otherwise known as Main St. will be closed where it passes under Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway).
This is due to the widening of Beltway 8. The Beltway 8 feeders should be open, but there will probably be a lot of traffic.
If you are going S. on Beltway 8 I would recommend that you exit Gessner and take it South to Court Rd. Turn right on Court and the park will be on the left, 1/8 mile after the stop sign.
If you are coming S on Alt 90, I would turn left on Fondren, right on Buffalo Run, left on Gessner and Right on Court.
