Building Mini-Duck
By Guest Articles #30 (3ad 64ar)
With the recent snow and cold weather, I decided to start my Puddle Duck adventure by building a scale model of the boat I intend to build this Spring. Using balsa, basswood, and a set of plans from the website enlarged for 1:1 construction, I've created what I think is a fairly decent scale model. Here are a couple of images:

The build itself was pretty straight-forward; slow and steady cuts with an x-acto knife, some white glue for all the joints, with the exception of attaching the bottom. For that I used a "super-glue" brand.
Looking forward to finishing-off the model with a lee board, rudder, deck, and sail.
